Introducing a modern twist on classic pinewood derby races, Japanese company t-o-f-u design has collaborated with Inter-Culture to transform children's hand-drawn car designs into real toythrough the magic of 3D printing technology. This innovative approach not only preserves creativity but also empowers young minds to bring their imaginations to life.

At the 2014 Maker Fre in Tokyo, eager participants aged four to eight were given a blank canvas - just a basic side view of their dream car on paper was enough for the dedicated team at t-o-f-u design. The skilled artisans would then scan and program each child's drawing into sophisticated software, bringing the imaginative designs to life through 3D printing technology.

After scanning these drawings, professionals turned them into actual car. Then came the exciting part: adding colors to bring those 3D-printed creations to life!

Even though we could not race them on our single track, all of the cars operated smoothly and flawlessly, says Sam Park, founder of t-o-f-u design alongside Mitsuki. We provided a unique opportunity for every participant to see their artistic creations come alive.
