Exploring Summer Learning Adventures at Hampton Roads Academy

Summer at Hampton Roads Academy HRA exts a warm invitation to all students, current and eager learners from the wider community. This season is not just about fun; it's an opportunity for growth through exploration in subjects that ignite passion or new interests being explored. For families considering HRA for their children, summer camps offer an excellent experience to understand what makes our school unique.

HRA’s summer programs are a melting pot of exciting activities designed for young minds from kindergarten up to high school seniors. These opportunities cater not only to the academic interests but also develop skills through sports, sciences, creative arts and outdoor adventures that enhance learning in real-world contexts.

Adventure Day Camp: med at students aged 1st - 6th grade, this camp is packed with activities focused on weekly themes such as team games, arts crafts, outdoor pool days starting from June 10, park visits starting from June 5, and fun-filled afternoons alternating between Bounce House or Bowling activities. A highlight of lunch and snacks are included each day.

Specialty Camps: For those who wish to delve deeper into specific areas like math skills for kindergarten through high school students, or sports enthusiasts looking to hone their abilities in basketball, cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, tennis, horse riding, and archery, there's a plethora of options. Science lovers can explore the wonders of Mad Science programs while the tech-savvy ones might choose to learn coding, game making, or even film production.

Creative Camps: Immerse yourself in creativity with dance camps featuring beloved characters from movies like Barbie, Bluey, and The Little Mermd, chocolate-making workshops led by professionals, circus skills, music lessons around the globe, and crafting projects. For those who love to cook, culinary arts are also on offer.

Outdoor Exploration Camps: Dive into nature through museum visits or engaging dly adventures that keep kids active and curious about their surroundings. These camps offer a break from routine while enhancing knowledge in a fun environment.

We warmly welcome non-HRA families considering our school for their students to experience HRA's summer camps, a perfect introduction to our vibrant learning community.

Cost: Varies by camp type $300week unless otherwise indicated, running from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm dly. Activities are designed to cater to specific age groups and skill levels with options for exted days.

Dates: A wide array of summer sessions starts mid-June through August, offering flexibility in scheduling.
